Group 1 Exam Pattern
Group 1 exam is one of the top grade posting in Tamilnadu Civil services and Police services conducted by TNPSC. Aspirants who are preparing for Group 1 exams should have Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university. The minimum age limit is 21 and the maximum is 32 for appearing in this examination(Age relaxation applicable). The GROUP 1 Exam Pattern is given below.

Overview Of TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern
The Group 1 examination is structured in two phases. The first phase, known as Group 1 Prelims, consists of a single objective-type paper divided into two sections. This paper comprises 200 questions and carries a total of 300 marks. The subsequent phase, Group 1 Mains, includes three descriptive papers, each carrying 250 marks.
TNPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam Pattern
The Group 1 Prelims examination for 2023 is divided into two sections: General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability. Each question in both sections carries a weightage of 1.5 marks. There is no provision for negative marking, and candidates have a total duration of 180 minutes to complete the exam.
